Unfortunately, due to political protests in Oaxaca at the time, the Fulbright Scholars program did not permit me to go to Oaxaca (safety concerns). Two weeks before my departure, I had to scramble for a new community partner, propose a new project, and re-apply for IRB. Luckily, with the help of a Stanford professor, I was able to find Cinvestav in Yucatán, and the rest is history! Please check the "Blog" link above for more stories.
